Terms of use

Platform scope — what we are and are not

  • OLA Report is an independent, community-driven watchdog and information platform for online lending apps in the Philippines.
  • We are not a bank, a lender, a credit agency, a credit bureau, a regulator, or a law firm, and we do not lend money or issue credit.
  • All content — community reports, caution scores, and machine assessments — is provided for general awareness only and is not legal, financial, or credit advice.
  • Nothing on this platform declares any party safe, illegal, or a scam. Labels reflect available data, not legal findings.

User-generated content and license

  • You retain ownership of the reports, comments, chat messages, evidence, and other content you create.
  • By posting, you grant OLA Report a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, moderate, display, and distribute your content as part of operating and promoting the platform.
  • You represent and warrant that your content is truthful, based on your own first-hand experience or material you are authorized to share, and does not infringe any third party's rights.
  • You may request removal of your own content, subject to lawful retention and the rights of others.

Safe harbor and moderation rights

  • We operate as an intermediary and host user-generated content in good faith, consistent with the safe harbor principles of Republic Act No. 8792 (the E-Commerce Act of 2000).
  • We are not the author or publisher of user submissions you create, and we act expeditiously to remove or disable access to unlawful content upon receiving actual knowledge or a valid takedown notice.
  • We reserve the right to verify, edit, annotate, flag, reject, merge, or remove any content, and to suspend or ban accounts that violate these terms or our Community Guidelines.
  • Moderation decisions aim to protect the community, comply with Philippine law, and preserve the integrity of the data.

Lender right of reply and disputes

  • Lenders and individuals named in a report may submit a right-of-reply statement or dispute through the contact page.
  • Where a dispute is credible, we may annotate the profile, request further evidence, or update the report while preserving verified community submissions.
  • Submitting a knowingly false dispute, or impersonating a lender or regulator, is a violation of these terms.
  • Nothing in this process waives either party's rights under Philippine law.

Prohibited conduct

  • No doxxing: do not post private addresses, ID numbers, or other personal data of any person, including collectors and bystanders.
  • No harassment, threats, hate speech, or coordinated attacks against any individual.
  • No extortion or blackmail, including offering to remove a report in exchange for money or favors.
  • No scraping, crawling, bots, or automated abuse of the platform, its search, or its chat.
  • No spam, malware, phishing, or attempts to compromise the service or other users' accounts.
  • No impersonating lenders, regulators, government agencies, or other users.

Accounts and security

  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity under your account.
  • One account per person. Sharing or selling accounts is prohibited.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or endanger the community.

Liability and governing law

  • The service is provided as-is. We work to keep data accurate but cannot guarantee completeness — lender landscapes change quickly.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, OLA Report is not liable for decisions made in reliance on the platform.
  • Always verify critical decisions against official SEC and BSP records and qualified professionals.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Metro Manila.
